partner a peopleOne of the things we do is connect people here who want to get involved with people who are working with the poor. We hear a lot of people say, "I just don't feel like I have much to give. . . not much time, much money, nor much experience. But I care, and want to do something!" We feel that this is exactly the kind of person who can make a difference. Ordinary people like ourselves who have families and work to attend to, but who want to be involved.So here's the model we use to help people help people:- A small group of people (a family, group of several families or friends, social action group, church home group, etc.) gets together and decides to get involved.
- We help this group to develop their ideas and to learn about sustainable development through relationship with our Make a Difference course.
- We connect this group with people working with the poor. As this partnership develops and matures, we remove ourselves, allowing others to do in larger numbers what we cannot do by ourselves!
