First, let me say that we are volunteers; we don't receive any salary for our work. Since we started working together as WhoCares? in 2006, we have been mostly self-funded. That means that each of our individual families have scraped the pennies together to fund our trips and expenses. (We've had a few generous people who have given us gifts to partially fund our work, even though we couldn't give tax-deductible receipts yet; we're so grateful!)
We are now incorporated in the United States, and are working on achieving non-profit status with the IRS. If you would like to donate to us, checks can be made payable to "WhoCares?". However, we can't give tax-deductible receipts until we are approved as an official non-profit.
